Herreid-Selby Area, Potter County take YTC titles

EUREKA – Herreid-Selby Area won the boys’ division and Potter County took the girls’ title during the Yellowstone Trail Conference track and field meet on Thursday.

The HSA boys scored 209 points. Potter County was runner-up with 176. The Potter County girls racked up 252 points. Herreid-Selby Area was second with 194.

There were six total double individual event winners in the meet, four on the boys’ side and two on the girls’ side.

Boys double winners included Alec Maier of North Central in the 100 and 200, Griffin Petersen of Sully Buttes in the 800 and 1,600, Jesse Schall of Sully Buttes in the shot put and discus, and Brayden Goehring of Herreid-Selby Area in the 110-meter high hurdles and high jump.

Girls double winners were Rylee Kaup of Potter County in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter intermediate hurdles, and Krystal Geier of North Central in the long jump and triple jump.
