The finalists for South Dakota Mr. Basketball and Miss Basketball have been announced.

The list includes one area player, Brooklyn Kusler of Aberdeen Central. She will be playing volleyball at Southwest Minnesota State next season.

Here is a look at the candidates.

Mr. Basketball: Jackson Hilton of Brandon Valley, Tyce Ortman of Canistota, Paul Bruns of Dakota Valley, Colin Rentz of Dell Rapids, Connor Libis of Dell Rapids St. Mary, Tyler Feldkamp of Sioux Falls Roosevelt, Kelton Vincent of Sioux Valley, Matthews Mors of Yankton, Jakob Dobney of Vermillion, and Brady Fritz of Winner.

Miss Basketball: Caelyn Valandra-Prue of White River, Sydni Schetnan of Sioux Falls Washington, Lexi Unruh of Sioux Falls Christian, Alayna Benike of Castlewood, Isabelle Moore of O’Gorman, Brooklyn Kusler of Aberdeen Central, Morgan Edelman of Menno, Brecli Honner of Harrisburg, Madison Koepsell of McCook Central-Montrose, and Haleigh Timmer of St. Thomas More.
