Circus overcomes early deficit to roll past Clark

CLARK – Aberdeen Circus exploded for 18 runs in a four-inning span to wipe out an early deficit and grab a 19-4 win over the Clark Traders in amateur baseball action Sunday.

Circus, which improved to 7-0 on the season, trailed 2-0 after the hosts scored one run in each of the first two innings. Aberdeen sliced the deficit in half with one run in third before taking control.

Circus scored four times in the fourth, three times in the fifth, four times in the six, and seven times in the seventh.

Jesse Babock, Kelly Coates and Ryal Ellingson each had three hits in Aberdeen’s 20-hit attack. Coates drove in five runs, while Tyler Oliver plated four.

The Circus batters also took advantage of numerous bases on balls in the contest, with Spencer Sudbeck walking four times.

Jacob Beuster was solid on the mound for Aberdeen, striking out seven batters in six innings of work.
