Circus remains unbeaten in win over Redfield

REDFIELD – Aberdeen Circus blanked the Redfield Pheasants 12-0 in amateur baseball action Sunday night to improve to 6-0 on the season.

Circus, rated fourth in the most recent Class A poll, led 6-0 before tacking on six runs in the top of the ninth inning for the final margin.

Tyler Oliver, Spencer Sudbeck and Michael Babcock each had a pair of hits to lead a 14-hit attack in the victory. Circus also took advantage of four Redfield errors and three walks. Sudbeck, Brandon Kusler and Zane Hunt each drove in two runs.

Meanwhile, three Aberdeen pitchers combined to keep the Pheasants off the board. Joey Wollman struck out eight batters.
