OMAHA, Neb. – Aberdeen native and former Northern State swimming standout Hannah Kastigar finished 11th in the finals of the 400-Meter Individual Medley at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha Saturday night.

Kastigar led for a good share of her heat before taking third in a tight finish. She clocked her fourth fastest time in the event at 4:51.28. During the morning portion of the meet, Kastigar finished ninth and had the fastest time in her section at 4:55.21.

The top two times in the event advanced to the next wave of action which will start on June 13.

Kastigar is the only Northern State swimmer to make it to the finals of the U.S. Olympic Trials.
