Aberdeen Central's Greg Murley, Aberdeen Roncalli's Diana Reynen, and Langford Area's Taylor Reints have won coaching awards from the South Dakota Cross Country and Track and Field Coaches Association. Other area winners include Eric Townsend of Milbank Area and Jessica Larson of Potter County.
Murley was the named the Boys' Coach of the Year for the West Division Class AA. Reynen was named Assistant Coach of the Year for Area 1 in Class A. Reints was named the Coach of the Year for Area 1 in Class B. Townsend was named Coach of the Year for Area in Class A. Larson was named Assistant Coach of the Year for Area in Class B.
