Circus rolls past Black Hills A’s at State A Amateur

BROOKINGS – The Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar & Grill dominated the Black Hills A’s in a 12-1 seven-inning victory during the Class A State Amateur Baseball Tournament in Brookings on Saturday evening.

Max Otto tossed a complete game three-hitter for Circus. He struck out six batters and allowed just one walk.

He got all the runs he needed in the bottom of the first when Circus scored two runs. Circus added two more in the third before breaking things open with a six-run fifth inning. They tacked on two more in the sixth for the final margin of difference.

Tyler Newman had three hits to pace Circus, which finished with a dozen hits as a team. Kelly Coates and Ryan Ellingson each contributed two hits and drove in a pair.

Circus, 15-0 on the season, takes on the Renner Monarchs at 1:30 p.m. today.
