Miller boys, Potter County girls win Action Club titles

HIGHMORE – The Miller boys and Potter County girls ran their way to team championships at the Action Club Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday.

Pierce Baumberger of Miller won the boys’ individual race leading four Rustlers who finished among the top 10 places. Miller finished with nine team points.

Miller’s Alex Schumacher was second, Kellen Hurd was sixth and Caden Gortmaker was 10th.

Nicholas Schlachter of Potter finished third, while Faulkton’s Hunter Niederbaumer was fifth.

Potter County had three runners among the top eight to win the girls’ team title. Emma Schlachter was fifth, Jadyn Ahlmeier sixth and Peyton Stevens eighth. Kimball-White Lake was second as a team, just two points behind.

Presley Terkildsen of Philip won the girls’ race.
