Potter County girls win Region 4B title

GETTYSBURG - Potter County had three runners in the top five places to capture the girls' team championship at the Region 4B Cross Country Meet on Thursday afternoon. Autumn Fallis of Highmore-Harrold won the girls' race. Potter County was led by Danika Kaup in second, Emma Schlachter in fourth and Jadyn Ahlemeier in fifth. Ipswich, which had three runners in the top eight spots, was runner-up in team points. The Tigers were led by Madisyn Gellhaus in third place. Miller won the boys' team title led by race winner Pierce Baumberger. Teammates Alex Schumacher and Caden Gortmaker finished third and eighth, respectively. Nicholas Schlachter of Potter County was second in the boys' race, while Faulkton's Hunter Niederbaumer was fourth. Ipswich finished second in team points.
