Roncalli sweeps Britton-Hecla

BRITTON - After back-to-back five-set marathon losses, Aberdeen Roncalli was able to pick up a sweep on Friday night. The Cavaliers had 35 kills and 10 aces on the way to a 25-17, 25-22, 25-10 Northeast Conference volleyball victory over Britton-Hecla. "After a tough five-setter on Tuesday, the girls brought the energy tonight that led a strong all-around match," said Roncalli coach Mandy Smid. Ella Hanson had a big evening finishing with 10 kills, three aces and 14 digs. Ava Hanson also had 10 kills for the Cavaliers. Hayley Schmidt contributed a pair of aces and 14 digs for Roncalli. "We communicated well and really took a big step in the right direction together," Smid said. The Cavaliers, 12-7 on the season, play host to Faulkton on Tuesday at Roncalli Gym.
