MILBANK – Aberdeen Roncalli will be taking momentum into the post season following a sweep to conclude the regular season on Tuesday night.

The Cavaliers upended Milbank Area 25-8, 25-21, 25-16 in Northeast Conference volleyball action.

“The girls came out strong tonight and ready to play,” said Roncalli coach Mandy Smid. “They had a good energy and meshed well.”

Jeci Ewart set the tone with 14 kills, two aces and 18 digs for the Cavaliers.

Ella Hanson added nine kills, three aces and three blocks.

“Overall, it was a consistent aggressive attack that leaves us proud of our overall performance tonight,” Smid said.

Skyler Skoog led Milbank Area with six kills and a pair of blocks.

The Cavaliers concluded the regular season with a 14-8 record. They will host a first-round playoff match in Region 1B on Tuesday at Roncalli Gym.

“We are ready to take on the post season,” Smid said. “Full steam ahead!”
