Cougars win home opener

The Aberdeen Cougars received a hat trick from Ema Rehder in a home-opening 5-1 win over Sioux Center in girls’ hockey action Saturday at the Odde Ice Center.

Rehder scored once in each period for the Cougars, who broke the game open with three goals in the second period.

Morgan Jones and Allie Woehl also found the back of the net for Aberdeen, which has now scored 15 goals in its first two games of the season.

The Cougars will host Sioux Center again today.
