Presentation eliminated by Dakota State

WATERTOWN – Presentation College had its volleyball season come to a close Friday morning in a four-set loss to Dakota State in the North Star Athletic Association tournament.

The Saints fell 25-14, 25-16, 19-25, 25-17 as Dakota State continued its recent string of success against the squad. The Trojans have not lost to PC since 2016.

A group of former Northwestern High School standouts powered the playoff win for Dakota State. Sydney Schell had 16 kills while Riley Grandpre added 10. Schell and Peyton Groft each finished with 18 digs, while Madalyn Groft had 10.

Presentation featured a balanced attack on offense led by Becca Payne with 13 kills. Ashley Alfonso followed with nine, and Allie White and Kerstin Knopik each recorded eight.

Laura Babcock and Kenzie Kuxhaus each had 18 digs for the Saints, who concluded their season with a 15-14 record.
