The Aberdeen Christian girls’ basketball team has earned a never achieved before status. The Knights are now rated for the first time in the history of the program.

Christian moved up from receiving votes to the number five spot in this week’s poll following two victories last week. Aberdeen Roncalli continues to be the top-rated team in Class B, receiving all but one first-place vote.

There is also a new look to the Class A polls for both boys and girls.

Sioux Valley is the new number one in Class A boys after pre-season number one Sioux Falls Christian was defeated. St. Thomas More now tops the Class A girls after pre-season top ranked Winner lost.

Aberdeen Central remained fourth in Class A boys and Aberdeen Christian remained third in Class B boys.

The Hamlin girls moved up one spot to number two in the Class A girls’ poll.

Waubay-Summit continues to receive votes in the Class B boys’ poll.
