Roncalli girls remain number one; Faulkton boys receive votes in latest polls

There are new top-rated teams in Class A for both boys' and girls' in this week's basketball polls. Dakota Valley takes over the top spot in boys after previous number one Sioux Valley lost. While the Cossacks dropped to second in this week's poll, they still received the most first-place votes with six. Flandreau is the new number one in Class A girls after St. Thomas More fell one spot to second. The Crusaders garnered the most first-place votes with seven. Locally, the Aberdeen Roncalli girls' continue to top the field in Class B. The Aberdeen Central boys slipped from third to fourth in Class AA, the Aberdeen Christian boys moved from second to fourth in Class B, and the Aberdeen Christian girls remained fourth in Class B. The Faulkton boys are receiving votes for the first time this season in Class B. Other teams receiving votes include Waubay-Summit boys in Class B and Hamlin girls in Class A.
