SIOUX FALLS – Cael Larson of Webster and Mason Fey of Redfield both won state championships during the State B wrestling tournament at the Premier Center on Friday.
Larson won the 138-pound title. He recorded a 7-0 decision in the championship match and concluded his season with a 51-2 record.
Meanwhile, Fey also pitched a shutout. The senior scored a 1-0 decision in the finals at 160 pounds. He wrapped his season with a 51-4 record.
Canton won the State B team title. Redfield finished fourth.
Other area place-winners included Brady Risetter of Redfield (third at 106), Holden Hawkins of Sisseton (third at 113), Ian Metz of Sisseton (fifth at 120), Parker Geditz of Faulkton (fifth at 132), Tanner Frickson of Ipswich-Leola-Bowdle (sixth at 132), Mason Whitley of Redfield (fifth at 145), Christian Ehresmann of Groton (seventh at 145), Gunnar Kvistad of Clark-Willow Lake (sixth at 152), Annie Witt of Webster (second at 154), Barrett Schneck of Milbank Area (fourth at 160 in Class A), Lucas Kannegieter of Clark-Willow Lake (fourth at 170), Corbin Schwartz of Redfield (third at 182), Caleb McGregor of Webster (third at 220), Grady Fey of Redfield (second at Hwt.), Lane Krueger of Groton (sixth at Hwt.), and Avery Nichols of Clark-Willow Lake (seventh at Hwt.).

The team dual portion of the event takes place today. Redfield faces Canton in the opening round.
