All of the top-rated teams held on to their positions in this week’s basketball polls.

The Aberdeen Roncalli girls’ lost their first game, but still are the top team in the Class B poll. The Cavaliers lost to Hamlin, which continues to receive votes in the Class A poll. Corsica-Stickney continues to inch closer to Roncalli, now garnering five first-place votes in the lastest poll.

Meanwhile, the Potter County boys inched up to a tie for fifth in Class B this week after being just outside the top five a week ago. Aberdeen Christian remains fourth.

The Christian girls fell two spots to fifth following a pair of losses last week. The Aberdeen Central boys are receiving votes, just outside of the top five in Class AA.

The South Dakota Prep Media Basketball Poll for the week of Jan. 31 is listed below, ranking the top-five teams, the team’s record, points received and ranking in the previous poll. First-place votes are listed in parentheses.
