AA Boys and Girls rule 3-Class Shootout

SALEM – Class AA dominated the competition during the annual 3-Class Shootout basketball games Saturday in Salem.

The AA girls defeated the A girls 95-75, before rolling past the B girls 98-71.

Sioux Falls Washington standout Ndakalenga Mwenentanda had 24 points and 13 rebounds in the victory over the A girls, and then finished with 34 points and 15 rebounds against the B girls. Aberdeen Christian’s Hanna Miller had seven points and six rebounds for the B girls.

The AA boys edged the A boys 93-88 before dominating the B boys 122-86.

It was big day for Mitchell’s Caden Hinker who had 13 points in the win over the A boys, then won the slam dunk contest before producing 26 points and 14 rebounds against the B boys.

Aberdeen Central’s Alec Voegele had 10 points and seven rebounds in the victory over the A boys, and 13 points in the win over the B boys. Cooper Logan of Potter County scored 18 points for the B boys.
