Class B Track and Field leaders

Area athletes are represented in a variety of events in this week’s Class B track and field leaders.

Frederick’s Morgan Sumption is second in both the 800-meter run and 1,600-meter run.

Northwestern’s Jessica Boekelheide is second in the 200-meter dash and third in the 100, while Ella Boekelheide is fifth in the 800-meter run and fourth in the 1,600-meter run.

The Wildcats also have the fifth best time in the medley, the fifth fastest clocking in the 400, the third best mark in the 1,600, are fourth in the 3,200 relay.

Potter County is led by Peyton Stevens who is seventh in the 3,200-meter run, Emma Schlachter who is fifth in the 800, and Rayel Persoon who is eighth in the 800. The Battlers have the second best time in the 3,200-meter relay.

Aberdeen Roncalli’s Morgan Fiedler is third in the long jump and tied for seventh in the triple jump. Katelyn Schroeder of Hitchcock-Tulare and Frederick’s Sofia Losure are tied for eighth in the high jump. Roncalli is eighth in the 800-meter relay.

In the Class B boys’ division, Herreid-Selby Area’s Brenden Begeman has the best throw in the shot put at 49-feet 4-inches. Leola’s Colton Spitzer is currently sixth in the shot put.

Roncalli has the top time in the 1,600-meter relay. Runners are Jayden Munroe, Anthony Martinez, Brody Weinmeister and Maddox May. Martinez is third in the 400, May is eighth in the 200, and Munroe is fifth in the triple jump. The Cavaliers are also fourth in the 800 relay.

Other leaders include Justin Haven of Northwestern who is fifth in the 800 and seventh in the 1,600, Nicolas Schlachter of Potter County who is fifth in the 800 and seventh in the 3,200, Lincoln Woodring of Northwestern who is eighth in the 1,600, Potter County’s Carter Luikens who is seventh in the 400, and Hitchcock-Tulare’s TJ Salmen who is seventh in the 300 hurdles.

Frederick is third in the medley, third in the 1,600 relay, and fourth in the 3,200 relay. Hitchcock-Tulare is eighth in both the 400 and 800 relays. Northwestern is currently seventh in the 3,200 relay.
