Class B Track and Field Leaders

The Frederick girls’ sprint medley relay team moved up to second in the Class B leader board. The Titans clocked a time of 4:37.3 Tuesday during the Rob Luecke Invitational in Groton.

Team members include Chloe Akin, Laura Sumption, Sofia Losure and Morgan Sumption. Ipswich has the sixth best time in that event.

Morgan Sumption is also third in both the 800 and 1,600 meter runs.

Ella Boekelheide of Northwestern has the second best time in the 1,600.

The Wildcats’ Jessica Boekelheide is third in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes, and is a member of the 400-meter relay team which has the second fastest time in the class.

Ipswich’s Madisyn Gellhaus is third in the 3,200-meter run, while teammate Marley Guthmiller is tied for second in the pole vault.

Katelyn Schroeder of Hitchcock-Tulare is second in the triple jump with Aberdeen Roncalli’s Morgan Fiedler sixth. Fiedler is also fifth in the 200 and sixth in the long jump.

On the boys’ side Matthew Martinez is having a big spring. The senior has the third fastest time in the 800 and the fourth best time in the 400. He is also a member of the Cavaliers 1,600-meter relay team which has the second best time in the class. Other team members include Jayden Munroe, Maddox May and Caden Shelton.

The 800 features a load of local athletes with Kalen Godel of Langford Area fourth, and Ian Beyers and Maxwell Kulesa of Ipswich sixth and seventh respectively.

Ipswich’s Ty Kadlec is currently second in the 200, fifth in the 100 and is a member of the Tigers 400 and 800 relays which are both second and 1,600-meter relay which is fourth. Ipswich is also third in the medley and 3,200 relays.

Zach Geditz of Ipswich is second in the discus, while Brenden Begeman of Herreid-Selby Area is second in the shot put.

Carter Geditz of Ipswich is fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles and TJ Salmen of Hitchcock-Tulare is fourth in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles.
