REDFIELD – The Redfield Muskrats picked up a pair of high school baseball victories Monday in much different fashion. Redfield rallied past Howard for an 8-6 win and then led from start to finish in a 10-3 victory over Wolsey.
Fehi Faonelua delivered a grand-slam home run to power Redfield past Howard. The Muskrats trailed 4-1 after three innings before battling back.
The hosts eventually took the lead with five runs in the bottom of this sixth, four coming on Faonelua’s blast.
Faoneula finished the game with three hits and knocked in six. Nolan Gall added a pair of hits, including a double.
Faoneula also played a key role in the win over Wolsey, allowing just one earned run over five innings on the mound. Peyton Osborn had three hits to lead the Muskrats, while Camden Osborn drove in three.
Erik Salmen added two hits and a pair of runs batted in. Keaton Rohlfs also had two hits.
Quinten Christianson had three hits to pace Wolsey.
The Muskrats, 4-0 on the season and rated second in the state, travel to Madison on Saturday for games against Baltic and Madison.
