The Milbank Area senior tandem of Bennett Schwenn and Nick Batchelor can be found all over the Class A track and field leaders.

Schwenn leads the triple jump, is second in the long jump, is third in the 200 and 400, tied for seventh in the 100 and is a member of the top sprint medley and 1,600-meter relay squads

Batchelor is second in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs, is fourth in the 400, and is also a member of those relay teams.

The Bulldogs also have the second best time in the 800-meter relay and third best time in the 3,200-meter relay.

Webster’s Drew Reetz is second in the pole vault and Milbank Area’s Karson Weber is fourth.

Hamlin’s Gracelyn Leiseth continues to lead the Class A girls in both the shot put and discus, with teammate Kami Wadsworth third in both events. Leiseth recently set a new state record in the shot put with a throw of 48 feet, 10 1/2 inches.

Milbank Area’s Ashlynn Batchelor is fourth in the 3,200-meter run.
