CLARK – Milbank Area swept the team championships during the Region 1A track and field meet Thursday in Clark, while Redfield’s Camryn Rohlfs won four individual events.

Rohlfs won the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes and also topped the field in the long jump.

“She’s one of those athletes who knows when the notch needs to be turned up,” said Redfield coach Alandra Harrelson. “We had key races that needed to be fierce and she delivered. Track and field embodies so much individuality to the team’s overall performance and that’ something she understands.”

Milbank Area’s Bennett Schwenn won three individual events, taking the 100, 200 and long jump.

A number of athletes won a pair of individual events.

On boys’ side, Drew Reetz of Webster won the 400 and the pole vault, Max Lightfield of Milbank Area won 110 and 300 hurdles, and Nick Batchelor of Milbank Area won the 800 and 1,600.

In the girls’ division, Madison Zirbel of Dakota Hills won the 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs.
