REDFIELD - The Redfield Muskrats enter the Region 2B high school baseball playoffs as the top seed and will host part of the regional tournament on Sunday.
The Muskrats, 13-0 on the season, are the top seed and will face Castlewood-Deuel at 3:30 p.m. Prior to that, Wolsey-Wessington/Miller/Wessington Springs/Woonsocket-Forestburg/Highmore-Harrold will face Howard at 1 p.m. The winners will square off in the state qualifying game at 6 that evening.
In the other half of the Region 2B bracket in Madison, Groton takes on Madison at 1 p.m., followed by Sioux Valley vs. Elkton at 3 p.m. Again, the winners will meet in the state qualifying game at 6.
The state tournament is set for Monday and Tuesday, May 30-31 at Sioux Falls Stadium.
