Schlachter, Cronin power Potter County at Eureka meet

EUREKA – A pair of Potter County athletes had big days at the Eureka Legion track and field meet on Saturday.

Nicolas Schlachter won the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs and also anchored the first place sprint medley relay team.

Kayden Cronin won the 200-meter dash and high jump, finished third in the triple jump and ran on the sprint medley relay team that finished second for the Battlers.

Other double individual event winners included Colin Bradberry of Sully Buttes in the boys’ 100 and 200, and Ashton Pfitzer of Mobridge-Pollock in the girls’ shot put and discus.
