Aberdeen golfers turn in solid rounds on SDGA Junior Tour

A trio of Aberdeen golfers had top scores Monday during the South Dakota Golf Association Northeast Junior Tour at Moccasin Creek Golf Course.

Olivia Braun shot a 72 in the Girls’ 14-15 age group 22 strokes better than the rest of the field. Emma Dohrer fired a 76 in the Girls’ 16-18 division tops by 13 shots. Matthew Gerlach shot a 45 over nine holes in the Boys’ 10-11 six strokes better than the other golfers.

Meanwhile, Brevin Fliehs of Groton tied for second in the Boys’ 13-14 bracket with an 81, and Peyton Brust of Aberdeen was second in the Boys’ 16-18 nine strokes back after shooting an 82.

The event continues today with action switching to Lee Park Golf Course.
