Change of sports seasons heading our way

While our leaves are not even close to changing colors, and the calendar still says July, we are about to experience a change of seasons in the local sports world. Some schools have already had their “fall” sports meetings and practices for sports like soccer and girls’ tennis will officially start on Monday. In fact, we are less than two weeks away from the first regular-season competition for tennis. For sure, there are still a few days remaining for summer sports, but they are fast coming to an end. This weekend will feature state tournaments for baseball, while swim teams had their state meet last weekend. Auto Racing has two regular shows remaining before taking a two-week hiatus for the Brown County Fair. When action resumes, track championships will be the next show up. Luckily for race fans, there are specials scheduled through the end of September. So, enjoy the final days of summer activities as Aberdeen gets set to host the opening round of the State A Amat
