Circus Sports Bar second in final A baseball poll

WATERTOWN – Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar is rated second in Class A in the final amateur baseball poll of the season.

Harrisburg Hops is the top-rated squad in Class A, while the Winner-Colome Pheasants top the Class B field. The Milbank Firechiefs are tenth.

Fossum Field in Aberdeen will play host to the opening round of the State A Tournament Aug. 5-7.

Here are the complete final rankings:

Class A – 1. Harrisburg Hops; 2. Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar; 3. Renner Monarchs; 4. Brookings Cubs; 5. Castlewood Ravens. Also receiving votes: Yankton Tappers.

Class B – 1. Winner-Colome Pheasants; 2. Hartford-Humboldt Gamecocks; 3. Lesterville Broncs; 4. Lennox Only One Alpacas; 5. Flandreau Cardinals; 6. Alexandria Angels; 7. Canova Gang; 8. Dell Rapids Mudcats; 9. Larchwood (Iowa) Diamonds; 10. Milbank Firechiefs. Also receiving votes: Platte Killer Tomatoes, Plankinton F&M Bankers and Mt. Vernon Mustangs.
