GREGORY – Redfield scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning without a hit in a wild 13-12 victory over Gregory during the State B American Legion Baseball Tournament Saturday night.

With two outs, Nolan Gall reached on an error and then went to station to station eventually scoring on three wild pitches.

In the top half of the inning, Gregory was down to its final out before Kade Braun doubled to drive in the tying run and set the stage for the Redfield walkoff.

The contest was a back and forth affair as Gregory jumped in front with a run in the top of the first before Redfield responded with a pair in the bottom of the frame on a two-run single from Erik Salmen.

After Gregory added another run in the top of the second, Redfield scored five times in the bottom half of the inning, as Salmen drove in two more with a double and Camden Osborn had an RBI single.

Gregory then surged in front with six runs in the third before Redfield took a 9-8 lead with two runs in the fourth on an Osborn sacrifice fly and Keaton Rohlfs run-scoring single.

Gregory regained an edge with three in the top of the fifth, before Redfield matched it with three in the bottom of the inning on Camden Osborn’s RBI-single and Owen Osborn’s two-run double.

Camden Osborn finished with three hits to lead Redfield, while Salmen and Gall each had two. Salmen drove in four and Camden Osborn three.

Redfield will now face Winner-Colome at 6 tonight in a matchup of the last remaining unbeaten teams in the double-elimination tournament. The two met in the high school state tournament this spring with Winner-Colome winning that contest.
