The South Dakota Track and Field Coaches Association has announced its Region Coach of the Year Awards.

Mark Stone of Aberdeen Roncalli has been selected as the Area 1 Class B Head Coach of the Year along with Jamie Cronin of Potter County. Assistant Coaches of the Year for Area 1 Class B are Jessica Larson of Potter County and Terry Dosch of Aberdeen Roncalli.

Eric Townsend of Milbank Area was chosen as Area 1 Class A Head Coach of the Year.

Other award winners include Area 2, Class B, Head Coach: Misty Larson of Chester Area; Assistant Coach: Stephanie Wallace of Hanson; Class A, Head Coach: Luke Vander Leest of Sioux Falls Christian; Assistant Coach, Olivia Taschner of Sioux Valley;

AA East Head Boys’ Coach: Troy Sturgeon of Brandon Valley; Assistant Boys’ Coach: Matt Mueller of Brandon Valley; Head Girls’ Coach: Aaron Strand of O’Gorman; Assistant Girls’ Coach: Tony Thoreson of Brandon Valley;

Area 3 Class B Head Coach: Ron Determan of Burke; Assistant Coach: Jesse Kroupa of Viborg-Hurley; Class A Head Coach: Lawron Bohr of Mt. Vernon-Plankinton; Assistant Coach: Dave Touch of West Central;

Area 4 Class B Head Coach: David Ermish of Wall; Assistant Coach: Mary Sieck of Sully Buttes; Class A Head Coach: Karen Karem of Custer; Assistant Coach: Russ Bailey of Custer;

AA West Head Boys’ Coach: Paul Hendry of Rapid City Stevens; Assistant Boys’ Coach: Jesse Coy of Rapid City Stevens; Head Girls’ Coach: Aaron Nida of Spearfish; Assistant Coach: Jesse Coy of Rapid City Stevens.
