LARCHWOOD, Iowa – A pair of Aberdeen golfers had solid rounds during the Sanford Futures Tour golf tournament at The Falls in Larchwood on Monday.

Olivia Braun leads the high school girls’ division by three strokes after firing a one-over par 73. Mattie Weidenbach, who competed for Harrisburg this past season, shot a 76. Miller’s Jayce Pugh is tied for sixth with an 83.

Braun and Pugh will be freshmen this fall at Aberdeen Central and Miller, respectively.

Dohrer fired a 66 on Monday during the 54-hole college men’s event and is currently in fourth place. That comes on the heels of a 74 to give him a 36-hole total of 140. Dohrer, who golfs for South Dakota State, is just three strokes off the lead.

Play concludes today.
