Golden Eagles fall to Huron on late penalty kick

The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles dropped a tight battle with the Huron Tigers by a score of 1-0 on a penalty kick with three minutes remaining in the second half. The two teams played an even first half with neither creating many legitimate goal-scoring opportunitiesand sharing a near equal amount of possession. The two best chances from the first half came from theunbeaten Tigers when Sha Sher’s long-range effort deflected off the top right corner of the post, and Biat Say forced a save from Central goalkeeper Camden Fauth in the final minute of the half. “I felt like we defended a little bit too much and didn’t attack or get into the flow of the game,” saidCentral coach Lance Mohr of his squad’s first-half performance.
