
BRANDON – The Aberdeen Central golf squad is sitting near the middle of the pack following the opening day of the Warrior-Lynx Invitational Monday in at the Brandon Golf Course.
The Golden Eagles shot a team total of 332, just one stroke behind Brandon Valley and Brookings, and just two strokes behind Sioux Falls Jefferson.
Central had a balanced attack led by Rylan Dykema who shot an 80 and is tied for 23rd. Cole Brust fired an 82, Peyton Brust an 84, Quincy Madsen and 86 and Carter Blanchard an 87.
Radley Mauney of O’Gorman shot a blistering 64 to lead the event by six strokes. O’Gorman owns a 12-shot lead over Pierre in the team standings.
The tourney concludes today in Sioux Falls.
