Golden Eagles win pair of duals against Sioux Falls foes

SIOUX FALLS - The Aberdeen Central girls' tennis program claimed two victories in three matches Friday, the first of the two-day Sioux Falls Invitational. The Golden Eagles grabbed wins over Sioux Falls Washington and Sioux Falls Jefferson by 9-0 and 8-1 scores, respectively. Central then fell to Sioux Falls O’Gorman 7-2 in the third match of the day. Central began the day with a sunny win over Jefferson, a match that included a hard-fought tiebreaker win from Livia Douglas at fourth-flight singles. Rain then forced teams indoors during the win over Washington. Teams had access to just two courts for that dual, so scoring moved to 8-game pro-sets in the interest of time, said Central coach John Vogel. “The girls stayed focused and took care of business,” he said. Central then ended the day against O’Gorman where it suffered its only loss of the day. “(O’Gorman) is a top-notch team, and they got us,” Vogel said.  Central’s Emily Ringgenberg was
