Knights fall to Ipswich to start season

IPSWICH – Aberdeen Christian dropped a straight-sets match to Ipswich Tuesday night in Ipswich to open the 2022 season. The Tigers claimed the Lake Region Conference volleyball win by set scores of 25-21, 25-16 and 25-17.

Christian got off to a solid start and led the opening set before the Tigers gained control to claim the set on the way to the sweep.

Ipswich got 12 kills and four service aces from Gracie Lange. Quincy Olivier tallied three aces and 14 assists. Baylee Kulesa added six kills and four blocks at the net for the Tigers.

Christian was led by Jolie Fogarty, who had five kills, 13 assists and a service ace. Chloe Bosma had four kills, and Emma Sand finished with three kills and a block for the Knights.

Christian heads to Warner Thursday for another LRC match.
