SISSETON – Aberdeen Roncalli won its fourth straight Northeast Conference golf championship on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers finished with a team total of 337.

“I’m happy how they played today as a team,” said Roncalli coach Jon Murdy. “I’m just hoping we can take this into our next event.”

Jonathon DeBoer of Milbank Area won medalist honors after defeating Roncalli’s Finn Anderson in a playoff. Both golfers finished with scores of 80.

Sawyer Henrich of Roncalli took third place with an 82. Roncalli’s other two golfers both finished in the top eight as Lucas Daggett was seventh with an 87, and Jesse Hernandez was eighth with an 88.

Two other Cavaliers also had solid rounds but their scores were not included in the team total. Andrew Gerlach fired an 84 and Harper Schnabel had an 88.

Roncalli competes in a tournament at Huron on Friday before playing in the Hub City Invitational on Tuesday at Lee Park Golf Course.
