MILLER - Aberdeen Roncalli overcame one deficit Tuesday night, but the Cavaliers could not overcome a second one. Miller grabbed a 25-17, 23-25, 25-17, 25-18 non-conference volleyball victory. The Rustlers improved to 3-0 with the triumph. "It was a tough matchup, but I was proud of how the girls extended several rallies and played positively through the ups and downs," said Roncalli coach Mandy Smid. After dropping the opening set, the Cavaliers pulled out a tight second set to even the match. However, the Rustlers regained control by securing the third set and then finished off the match with a win in the fourth. Ally Mullaney powered Miller with 17 kills. Abbi Blake and Jaden Werdel each contributed 11. "We caused Miller to force errors," Smid said. "Our attack was evenly spread out amongst our players." Ella Hanson led the balanced Roncalli attack with six kills, while Ava Hanson contributed four. The Cavaliers also had four different players with one ace serve
