GREGORY – Winner-Colome became the last unbeaten team at the State B American Legion Baseball Tournament following a 10-5 victory over Redfield Sunday evening.
Redfield jumped in front with a run in the top of the first inning, scoring on a wild pitch. However, Winner-Colome had back-to-back two-run innings to take a 4-1 advantage after three.
Redfield inched to within 4-2 on an RBI single from Seth Siebrecht in the top of the sixth before Winner-Colome took control with six runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Joey Cole had a two-run double and Aiden Barfuss belted a two-run home run to highlight the uprising.
Redfield then scored three runs in the seventh to make things interesting, but the rally eventually fell short. Erik Salmen had a run-scoring single in the frame, while other runs scored on a hit batter and a passed ball.

Barfuss, Ethan Bartels and Ashton Klein each had two hits to lead Winner-Colome, which also defeated Redfield in the high school state tourney this past spring.
Keaton Rohlfs had a pair of hits for Redfield, which now faces Vermillion at 5 this evening in an elimination contest.
