CLARK – The Aberdeen Christian girls’ cross country team finished fourth in a tight team race at the Clark Invitational Thursday afternoon. The Knights scored 28 points, just three back of third place Madison and just 13 points shy of host Clark-Willow Lake in first place.

Kathryn Steger finished in sixth place to pace the Knights, followed by Rachel Beaner in 12th and Grace Steger in 13th place. Grace Steger’s time of 22:16.51 was less than a minute behind Kathryn Steger’s time of 21:18.44.

On the boys’ side, Christian’s Lincoln Kaiser finished in 41st place.

Christian has one final meet remaining ahead of the region and state meets. That tune-up event is set for Monday in Miller.

Kaleb Foltz of Tri-State won the boys’ race, while Faith Wiese of Flandreau won the girls’ race with Madison Zirbel of Waubay-Summit second.
