SISSETON – Aberdeen Roncalli got points when it needed them to secure a Northeast Conference volleyball sweep of Sisseton Thursday night. The Cavaliers won by set scores of 25-14, 26-24 and 25-16.

Roncalli had to fight for the second-set victory, rallying from a 24-22 deficit and rattling off the final four points of the set to take a 2-0 lead in the match.

“The girls played out some very long rallies and had some big energy plays tonight,” said Roncalli coach Mandy Smid. “We played from behind all of set two.”

Ava Hanson finished with a dozen kills and a serving ace for the Cavaliers. Ella Hanson tossed in 10 kills and 18 digs in the effort, while Camryn Bain finished with 31 digs and a pair of aces.

“Another well-rounded effort,” Smid said.
