FREDERICK – Leola-Frederick held serve in a volleyball matchup against Aberdeen Christian Tuesday night.

In a unique setup, the two squads play back-to-back matches this week. The Titans took a 25-20, 25-11, 25-21 victory on their home court. Now, the two will square off on Thursday at the Aberdeen Christian School Gym.

The Knights pushed Leola-Frederick in the first and third sets, but fell behind early in a lopsided second set.

“We came out ready to play the first set,” said Christian coach Sara Powell. “We had some great hits by Chloe (Bosma).”

The second and third sets were complete opposites of each other for the Knights.

“The second set we mentally checked out,” Powell said, “and then showed up for the third, but just couldn’t finish it.”

Bosma topped the Knights with eight kills, two aces, eight digs and a set assist. Sophia Fogarty added five kills, and Payton Skarin contributed three ace serves.

The Titans have now won three matches in a row to improve to 10-13 on the season.
