Knights fall to Leola-Frederick

Leola-Frederick defeated Aberdeen Christian for the second time in three nights with a victory at Aberdeen Christian School Gym Thursday night.

The Titans swept past the host squad by scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-13.

“They killed us on short serves and tips,” said Christian coach Sara Powell.

The Knights ran into the same issue against James Valley Christian in a match last week.

Christian’s overall statistics were nearly identical to the ones they had on Tuesday against the Titans in Frederick.

Chloe Bosma led the team with eight kills. Payton Skarin had three aces, and Jolie Fogarty contributed four kills, two aces, 13 set assists and eight digs.

Alexis Isakson led the Christian defense with 31 digs.

The Knights conclude their regular season with two road matches, the first one coming on Monday at Webster.

Serving: Aberdeen Christian 38-43 5 aces (Payton Skarin 6-8 3 aces, Jolie Fogarty 10-10 2 aces).

Hitting: Aberdeen Christian 68-90 22 kills (Chloe Bosma 22-25 8 kills, Fogarty 4-5 4 kills).

Setting: Aberdeen Christian 68-69 15 assists (Fogarty 55-56 13 assists, Alexis Isakson 7-7 2 assists).

Digs: Aberdeen Christian 55 (Isakson 31, Fogarty 8).

Blocks: Aberdeen Christian 2 solo 2 assists (Emma Sand 1 solo 1 assist, Sophia Eichler 1 solo 1 assist).

Records: Leola-Frederick 11-13; Aberdeen Christian 3-20.
