GETTYSBURG – A pair of Pottter County runners won their individual races and the Battlers also captured the girls’ team crown at the Region 4B cross country meet on Wednesday afternoon. Highmore-Harrold won the boys’ team points.
Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter won the boys’ race while Dannika Kaup won the girls’ race. Dawson Hale of Highmore-Harrold took second in the boys’ event and Autumn Fallis of Highmore-Harrold was runner-up for girls.
The Battlers had four of the top five finishers in the girls’ division as Jadyn Ahlemeier, Emma Schlachter and Paige Ahlemeier took third, fourth and fifth place, respectively.
The state meet takes place on Saturday, Oct. 22 in Huron.
