BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2022 All-Conference teams today, highlighted by the NSIC Defensive Newcomer and Defensive Player of the Year Ian Marshall. In addition, six total Wolves were named to the all-conference teams including first teamers Marshall and Payton Eue, and second teamers Jacob Howard, Jacob Schloe, Luke Chuol, and Brennan Kutterer.

Marshall led the NSIC in both tackles for a loss (24.5) and sacks (14.0), totaling 39 tackles on the year. He ranks third in the nation in tackles for a loss and sacks. The Springfield native broke the Northern State single season record with his 14.0 sacks and sits third on the NSU all-time sacks list after just one season. He added one fumble recovery and four quarterback hurries.

Eue sits top-5 in the NSIC in field goals made this season, going 9-of-16 with a 49-yard long. The Champlin native broke the Northern State career record for field goals, currently with 32 in three seasons for the Wolves. He averaged 62.7 yards per kickoff this season with 20 touchbacks. In addition, Eue garnered two NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week nods this season and was a member of the special teams first team a season ago.

Chuol appeared in nine games for NSU this season, tallying 17 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, and 2.5 sacks. In addition, he recorded two pass break-ups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery as a member of the Northern State defensive line. The Minneapolis native finished the year ranked sixth in the NSIC in tackles for a loss.

Howard started all 11 games for the Wolves on the offensive line as the team’s right tackle. The Northern State offense finished the year in the top-10 in total offense and rushing offense, and top-5 in passing offense. In addition, they ranked second in the league giving up just 12 sacks on the year.

Kutterer started all 11 games at linebacker for Northern State, leading the team with 65 tackles. He tallied 46 solo stops, 14.0 tackles for a loss, 4.0 sacks, two pass break-ups, and one forced fumble. In addition, the Dayton native ranked in the top-20 for total tackles and sacks, and top-5 for tackles for a loss in the NSIC. Kutterer also landed on the NSIC All-Conference second team a season ago.

Schloe started all 11 games for the Wolves on the offensive line as the team’s left tackle. The Northern State offense finished the year in the top-10 in total offense and rushing offense, and top-5 in passing offense. In addition, they ranked second in the league giving up just 12 sacks on the year.
