There were no changes at the top of this week’s media basketball polls, but there was some significant movement in other spots.

All of the preseason number one-rated squads maintained their positions atop their respective classes. Those teams include Sioux Falls Jefferson in Class AA boys, Dakota Valley in Class A boys, White River in Class B boys, O’Gorman in Class AA girls, St. Thomas More in Class A girls, and Viborg-Hurley in Class B girls. The STM girls did lose a game, but were able to retain their number one ranking.

There is a pair of new second-rated squads this week. Sioux Falls Lincoln moved into that spot in Class AA boys, and Wolsey-Wessington climbed to second in Class B girls.

Aberdeen Christian, rated third in Class B boys, continued to receive one first place vote, as did third-rated Hamlin in Class A girls.

Hamlin is receiving votes in Class A boys, and Florence-Henry is receiving votes in Class A girls.
