The Warner girls' basketball team has moved into the top five in the most recent media basketball polls. The Monarchs, 5-1 on the season, are rated fifth in the Class B girls' poll.
Wolsey-Wessington continues to be rated second in Class B. The Warbirds will face top-rated Viborg-Hurley in the Hanson Classic Saturday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.
Elsehwere, Aberdeen Christian remained second in Class B boys, receiving one first-place vote. Hamlin retained the top spot in Class A girls, with Florence-Henry receiving votes.
The South Dakota Prep Media basketball polls for the week of Jan. 9 are listed below, ranking the top-five teams in each class, record, total points and previous ranking. First-place votes received are indicated in parentheses.
