MADISON – Top-rated Hamlin pulled away from a 20-20 halftime tie and grabbed a 51-34 win over second-rated Vermillion in a battle of Class A girls’ basketball powers during the NEC-Dak XII Clash on Saturday.
Kami Wadsworth scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Chargers, 16-0 on the season. Brooklyn Brandriet added 12, and Addie Neuendorf contributed nine.
Kasey Hanson tossed in seven points to lead a balanced effort for Vermillion, which slipped to 16-1.
