Northern State athletes earn All-America status

Multiple Northern State athletes earned All-America status during national competitions this past week.

Wyatt Turnquist and Cole Huss both placed at the NCAA Division II National Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Turnquist finished third at 149 pounds, while Huss was eighth at 197 pounds. They became the 46th and 47th All-Americans for the NSU wrestling program.

Renae Taylor earned All-America honors by running the 11th fastest time in the 60-meter dash at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. Her time was just off her school record in the event set recently.

Lilly Grebner also became an All-America at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. The Aberdeen native finished 24th in the 200-meter butterfly. She set a NSU new freshman record in the event this season.
