GAYVILLE – Track and field athletes from Deuel and Wolsey-Wessington won events during the Gayville-Volin Tri-State Invitational on Tuesday.

Deuel’s Ricky Berndt won the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs, while Gabe Sather won the 110-meter high hurdles. Wolsey-Wessington’s Joey Hoverson won the 200-meter dash, Caleb Richmond the 400, and Moshe Richmond the high jump, and all three ran on winning 400-meter and 800-meter relay squads. Julius Pagel won the 800-meter run.

Jaycee Hourigan of Deuel won the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs. Wolsey-Wessington’s Riyli Peterson the 100-meter dash, and Tatum Luce won the high jump
