Hamlin athletes win six events at Centerville Invitational

CENTERVILLE – The Hamlin boys finished second while the girls took fifth in team points at the Centerville Invitational track and field meet on Tuesday. The Chargers won six events in all.

Gracelyn Leiseth won the shot put and discus with teammate Kami Wadsworth second in both events. Wadsworth won the javelin. Marissa Bawdon finished third in the long jump.

On the boys’ side, Hamlin’s Cristhian Rodriquez won the shot put, while Kaden St. Pierre topped the field in the discus.

Hamlin’s 400-meter relay squad finished first. The squad was comprised of Luke Fraser, Rylan Thue, Gavin Prouty and Zac VanMeeteren. The same foursome was second in the 800-meter relay. Fraser finished third in the 400-meter dash.
